The family of Toby Keith marked the one-year anniversary of his passing on social media, reflecting on a year without the country music legend who succumbed to stomach cancer at age 62. Krystal, Toby’s daughter, shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram accompanied by photos of cherished memories with her father, writing: “It feels like yesterday we said goodbye and yet it somehow has also been the longest year without him. I can’t help but find gratitude in all the time we had because we did all of life as a family unit.” Additionally, Stelen, Toby’s son, posted a video of  his dad performing his 2003 hit song, “If I Was Jesus,” affectionately captioning his post, “A whole year without my hero. Here’s to one day having more of these nights. Love you dad 🤍” The family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from fans, and while admitting that Toby’s passing left “a hole in our heart and our lives,” they celebrate his enduring legacy in the music world.
