Back in 2023, Lainey Wilson was an up-and-coming artist who received nine CMA Awards nominations, securing wins for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and more. Now, emerging talent Ella Langley is making waves by leading everyone with eight nominations at the upcoming 2025 ACM Awards, mirroring Wilson’s rapid rise. During an industry event in Nashville over the weekend, Wilson voiced her support for Langley while admitting “I see a lot of myself in Ella.”  “I’m so proud for her,” Wilson said of Langley. “I could not be more excited to see it happening to a girl that just knows who she is. I’m glad to see the community really taking notice in somebody who’s just got it. That’s a good feeling, especially as a female in the business. It’s good to see.” Wilson herself received six 2025 ACM Awards nominations, including Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist-Songwriter of the Year, and the night’s biggest prize, Entertainer of the Year, as she aims to defend her title from last year’s ceremony.
