At the debut of Nashville’s newest music venue, The Pinnacle, on Thursday night (February 27), Kacey Musgraves premiered a song she wrote about her dog. The song is playfully titled, “My B*tch,” and the country superstar wrote it about her beloved Australian cattle dog, who Musgraves revealed “is so spicy, I named her Pepper.” In fan-captured video of the performance, Musgraves is heard paying tribute to her loyal pup in the lyrics, “She’s black and white/ All Ride or die, more bark than bite/ She’s my b—h. The star of the pack, no one’s talking smack/ Yeah, she’s got my back/ She’s my b—h.” Musgrave’s set also featured a stage filled with moss and lush greenery, which added to the natural feel of the series of hits she performed, including her Grammy-winning tune “The Architect,” her breakthrough single “Merry Go Round,” as well as fan favorites “Rainbow” and “High Horse.” (Billboard)
