During an appearance at the Country Radio Seminar, Ella Langley revealed the intriguing backstory of her breakout hit, “You Look Like You Love Me.” Langley discussed the spontaneous writing session with Aaron Raitiere in Nashville, praising his role in crafting the song’s unique spark while calling him “the most creative human I’ve ever met.” While Langley didn’t think audiences would connect with the song, it captured the attention of her manager, Maya Hansen, who convinced the upstart country singer to share it with the world. “We cut the song, and Riley Green, who I had admired for years, asked us to tour with him,” Langley shared. That partnership led to the decision to include Green on the track, which quickly won over music fans and became Langley’s first Country Airplay No. 1 hit, and ultimately won the duo Musical Event of the Year at the CMAs. Langley will also support Green on his Damn Country Music Tour which begins in March. (All Country News)
