After falling ill and having to shorten his recent show in State College, Pennsylvania, Parker McCollum posted a video on Instagram updating fans about his condition and apologizing for cutting the show short. He shared that he felt sick before going on stage Saturday night (January 25), tried to push through, but had to stop mid-set. McCollum said that this incident was a first for him in his career, and expressed immense gratitude for fans’ understanding. “I knew something was pretty wrong,” McCollum said about feeling sick at a Meet-and-Greet before the show, but despite feeling ill, he “decided to try to give it a go” and only felt more sick as the set went on. There has been an outpouring of support for the country star by his fans on social media, and McCollum – who was sick for days after the show – expressed his appreciation for their understanding and well-wishes.
