Crews have contained a fire that burned an estimated 700 acres roughly 5 miles southeast of Boise Thursday evening.
The Boise District Bureau of Land Management said smoke from the ‘Westbonn Fire’ impacted Blacks Creek Road as it worked to control active fire spread.
Drivers in the area were asked to use caution before the fire was ultimately contained around 9 p.m. Thursday night.
Crews plan to stay in the area overnight to watch fire activity. Estimated control is set for 6 p.m. Friday.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
