Idaho Fish and Game announced that they will be releasing Chinook salmon into the Boise River for the first time in five years.
CBS 2 News reports, the release will happen in the early afternoon of Friday, July 14.
The release will include both “jacks” salmon smaller than 24 inches long as well as adult fish.
The areas in which Idaho Fish and Game are planning to stock are the Barber Park Boat Ramp, The Americana Bridge, West Park Center Bridge, and the Glenwood Bridge.
AND A REMINDER — If you catch a Chinook salmon and don’t have a salmon permit, the fish must be released back into the river immediately.
