A record number of people showed up last night for the Ada County Board of Commissioners hearing on the petition to dissolve the Meridian Library District.
A petition filed by the group, ‘Concerned Citizens of Meridian’ sparked the controversy.
CBS 2 News reports, the group claims that the library district and its board of trustees are exposing children to explicit material.
For two days, commissioners listened to public testimony.
At the end of Wednesday’s hearing, commissioners turned it back to the petitioners for rebuttal.
The group continued to express their frustration with the district board.
Commissioners will decide if this will be on the ballot by March 30th.
