Tyson Degenhart and Max Rice were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced Tuesday. Both are eligible to be voted to the organization’s Academic All-America teams.
This is the first time either have been honored by the CSC.
Degenhart is a sophomore from Spokane, Wash., studying business with a 4.0 GPA. Degenhart was named the 2021-22 Mountain West Freshman of the Year a season ago, and he currently leads the Broncos in scoring, and is second in rebounds and assists.
A redshirt senior from Boise, Idaho, Rice owns a 3.54 GPA while pursuing his degree in interdisciplinary studies. He has scored a career-high 365 points this season on 46.3% shooting from the field. He was named the Mountain West Player of the Week on Dec. 5 after scoring a then career-high 25 points in a win over Texas A&M.
