BOISE, Idaho – Each of Boise State’s five starters scored in double figures as Boise State men’s basketball ran past Utah State by 23 points for a 82-59 Quad 1 victory in front of a sold-out ExtraMile Arena, Saturday afternoon.

The announced attendance of 12,007 is the ninth-largest crowd for a men’s basketball game in facility history. 

The Broncos (12-4, 2-1 MW) shot an efficient 54.8% (17-31) from the floor in the first half, including 75% (6-8) from deep en route to matching its season high for first-half points with 45. 13 points from Tyson Degenhart and eight from Marcus Shaver, Jr. helped the Broncos jump out to a 15-point lead over the Aggies (13-3, 3-0 MW) at halftime.

Boise State opened the second period with a 13-4 run, holding the Aggies scoreless for nearly three minutes to push the lead to 24 with 14 minutes remaining. Utah State whittled the lead down to as low as 15 points with 6:30 left, but the Bronco defense clamped down to only allow seven points through the remainder of the game, locking down their second Mountain West win of the season.

• Tyson Degenhart led all scorers and posted his first-career double-double, scoring 19 points to go along with 10 points.
• Max Rice stuffed the stat sheet for 14 points, five rebounds and five assists.
• Marcus Shaver, Jr. did it all for Boise State with 10 points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal.
