Over 30 dogs and three birds were recently rescued in Boise.
The Idaho Humane Society says a senior couple was taking care of all the animals when it just became too much.
CBS 2 News reports, they had become overwhelmed with their living situation, so the Idaho Humane Society stepped in to provide medical care and eventual adoption.
Animal workers say most of the dogs are socialized but all will need medical care such as vaccines, bathing, grooming and many will need dental cleanings. Staff members believe they will have about $13,000 in costs associated with the effort.
