World War II soldier originally reported as missing in action will be buried in Boise

A World War II soldier that was originally reported as missing in action, will now be buried in Boise.

Army Pfc. Lawrence Worthen was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 112th Infantry Regiment and was reported as missing in action during World War II.

His remains were recently discovered near Luxemburg using dental and military records.

He passed away Sept. 17, 1944, in Germany when he was 20-years-old.

The solders family now lives in Nampa decided he should be buried here in Boise.

CBS 2 News reports, a service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm, this Friday, Oct. 25, at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

Anyone is welcome to attend the service on Friday.
