A suspect was shot dead in Boise after Boise PD says they pointed a weapon at officers shortly after 6:00 am Sunday.

Boise Police says the officer-involved shooting occurred in the 900 block of Clover and State Street.

Officers were called to the area for a report of a suspicious woman knocking on doors in the area.

Officers made contact with the woman who was seated in a vehicle.

That’s when police say the woman pointed a gun at an officer and was not complying with orders and was shot dead.

CBS 2 reports that Meridian Police are investigating the incident. The suspect has not been identified.

Boise Police say none of the involved officers were injured and the Critical Incident Task Force, led by Meridian Police, was activated.
