Boise City Council passes resolution denouncing white nationalism and white supremacy

The Boise City Council unanimously passed a resolution denouncing white nationalism and white supremacy on Tuesday.

The City Council unanimously passed language disparaging hate and discrimination, and calling Boise a welcoming and inclusive city for all.

The language — brought to the city by progressive coalition United Vision for Idaho — included references to Trump as emboldening the rise of white nationalism nationwide, but the city did not use that language in it’s resolution.

The Idaho Press reports, Boise is now the third city in the Pacific Northwest to denounce white nationalism and white supremacy.
