Middleton voters today will choose if three school board members are recalled, and Parma School District voters will decide whether or not to renew a two-year school district levy.
In Middleton, school district trustees Aleisha McConkie, Tim Winkle and Marianne Blackwell face recalls.
The Idaho Press reports, a petition to recall school board members must be signed by 50% of the number of voters in that trustee’s zone who cast votes in the most recent election.
In order to recall a trustee, the majority of votes must be in favor of the recall and must equal or exceed the votes cast at the last general election for that trustee.
The Parma School District’s proposed levy would generated $450,000 each year for two years for the district’s general fund. The levy needs a simple majority to pass.
