Six Ada County Sheriff’s deputies searched the Boise River but did not find the 19-year-old Nampa swimmer who went missing in the waters earlier this month.

Water levels in the river dropped low enough for deputies to search by boat and by snorkeling.

Deputies also searched sandbars and shallow areas, as well as banks covered by debris. They did not find any sign of Ezekiel Vargas, who went missing June 5.

It was the latest in a series of efforts to find the teen. On June 7, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dropped water levels to make it easier for deputies to search the river, but that effort, too, proved fruitless.

The Idaho Press reports, Deputies in Ada County remain in contact with marine deputies in Canyon County who monitor the river downstream.
