An autopsy Thursday confirmed the body found near the Amalgamated Sugar factory in Nampa was an adult female.

The identity of the body has not been released yet, pending notification of the family, and the cause of death is still under investigation.

The Idaho Press reports, the body, reported to police Wednesday morning, was found inside the fence line of a retention pond across the street from the factory.

Police labeled the incident a “suspicious death” and are investigating it as a homicide.
