A Caldwell man was arrested Friday evening after he allegedly tried to kidnap two children from a park.
Sidney Baker is charged with 2nd Degree Attempted Kidnapping and Lewd Conduct with a minor child under the age of 16.
According to a Caldwell Police report, Baker tried to take a 3-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother from Sebree Park.
CBS 2 News reports, the children’s older siblings saw this and alerted their father, who was nearby.
The children’s father confronted Baker, who released the children and ran into a nearby church.
Police were called and caught Baker, as he was coming out of the church. He is being held at the Canyon County Jail.
The report also stated that none of the children involved reported any physical injuries during the incident.
