Body Found in Boise Foothills Might Be That of Missing Hiker

Boise (670 KBOI News) – A body found in the Boise Foothills may be that of a missing hiker, who disappeared in February.

The body is that of an adult man…it was found near Dry Creek Trail, by a man looking for shedded antlers. The area had been heavily covered by snow until recently.

According to the Idaho Press, it was found at the bottom of a 30 to 40-foot deep ravine. Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue recovered the body, and hiked four miles to bring it out.

Kyle Crowden disappeared February 9th…his car was found parked at the Dry Creek Trailhead, about four and a half miles up Bogus Basin Road.

Two previous searches were called off due to bad weather.

The Ada County Coroner’s office has not yet released the identity, but Crowden’s mother, Janet Coupe, posted on social media that her son was no longer lost.
