Man Attacks Police with Scissors, Gets Tased for His Efforts

Boise (670 KBOI News) – It’s never a good idea to attack police officers, but especially if the weapon you’re wielding is a pair of scissors.

That’s precisely what happened Thursday afternoon, when officers responded to a battery in progress call on Everett Street in West Boise, near Fairview and Raymond Street.

Police say a woman reported she was being beaten by a man she knew, but managed to get out of the home. She was treated by paramedics.

Officers went in and found Christopher Woodward barricaded inside the home. After about an hour, he came out, waving a pair of scissors in a threatening manner.

Police tased and arrested him…he’s in the Ada County Jail, charged with felony aggravated assault, felony battery on a law enforcement officer, and two misdemeanors.
