Sometimes — doughnuts really do help! Today is a perfect case in point.
Krispy Kreme in Meridian is hosting a donation day today (Wednesday Jan. 30) to raise money for the daughters of the recent Meridian murder-suicide victims.
The doughnut shop will be serving free doughnuts and drinks from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. and collecting donations.
100% of the donations go directly to The Joe Paul and Heidi DeLeon Benefit Fund which helps with the children’s education and well-being.
Heidi and Jose DeLeon died of multiple gunshot wounds after police say Edward Epps JR. stormed into their home and later died of a self inflicted gunshot wound.
