The Weiser School District’s superintendent says that Weiser Police will be present on Weiser High School’s campus this coming week.
This follows Friday’s announcement, on the Weiser School District’s website, that a student had been arrested for a gun threat at Weiser High School.
District Superintendent Wil Overgaard says that the student, who is not identified, went into the high school near the end of the school day and asked a secretary to deliver a note to the school’s principal, David Davies.
CBS 2 News reports, the note said that the student was unhappy with the principal and threatened to come to the school “guns a blazing.”
The student was arrested soon after and charged with threatening violence, upon school grounds.
