Changes Coming Monday to Valley Ride Routes, Schedules

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Big changes are starting Monday for Valley Regional Transit — also known as Valley Ride.

Community Relations Manager Mark Carnopis says they’ve been out talking with bus riders in Ada and Canyon Counties, and are rolling out the first major change in routes and schedules in years.

“Last time we did something like this was 2005, and I would say the major changes are in the Boise system,” said Carnopis.  “We are  doing some changes to the inter-county and the Nampa-Caldwell, but our plan is really focused on  the services in Boise-Garden City, to see how we can be more efficient.”

In particular, on their most popular routes, on State and Fairview.

He says they’re wanting to cut service times drastically, so people don’t have to wait as long at bus stops to catch a ride.

They’re also expanding their service hours.
