No Charges for Man who Accidentally Shot and Killed His Wife

Caldwell (670 KBOI News) – No charges will be filed against a Caldwell man who police say accidentally shot and killed his wife on September 30th.

A spokesman for Canyon County said the prosecutor’s office had opted to not pursue the case.

The man and his wife had been cleaning their guns on September 30th.

Police said at the time, the man had reassembled his pistol, chambered a round, then accidentally pulled the trigger. His wife was hit, and died later at a Boise hospital.

Neither the man nor his wife were identified.
