Notus (670 KBOI News) – Monday will mark four years since a Jackson’s Food Stores clerk was murdered in Notus, and the reward for information in that case is being increased.
Canyon County Sheriff Kieran Donahue told reporters the murder of Chris Reese on December 17th, 2014 is still a top priority.
“This is not a closed case, this is not a cold case, this is a case that sits on our detectives’ desk every day. The case officer is a Sergeant in the detective division, and he works this case every day as well as the rest of the team,” said Donahue.
The owners of Jackson’s announced they’re doubling the reward from $50,000 to $100,000, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two men seen on video robbing the store, and shooting Reese with a rifle.
If that’s not enough of an incentive to get people to come forward, Donahue added that anyone with information who doesn’t say anything, will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
