Boise (670 KBOI News) – If you’re heading out for a little deer or elk scouting, remember this…state law on trespassing, and how private land has to be marked, has changed.
Representative Judy Boyle of Midvale, who sponsored the bill, says in reality, not much has changed in the new law.
“It hasn’t really changed that much, except for we did add this part about, if property is fenced and adjoining public land, then it must be posted,” said Boyle.
She says the law requires landowners to post their property conspicuously, in a way that a reasonable person would recognize it as private property.
