City of Meridian to Host First-Ever Tele Town Hall

Meridian (670 KBOI News) – The City of Meridian wants to talk with you about its plan for the future, but maybe you can’t get to City Hall in time for Wednesday night’s town hall meeting.

Not to worry, Chief of Staff Robert Simison says they’ll call you.

“We’re going to be doing the first-ever telephone town hall, which is another way to try to reach out to our citizens, instead of them coming to us,” said Simison.  “We’re trying to go to them, get their feedback, and educate them about the comprehensive plan the city is currently updating.”

The meeting will happen Wednesday from 6:00 ’til 7:00 pm. The computer will call known landlines, but if you have a cellphone instead of a landline, you’ll have to opt in to participate.

Simison says they’ll brief participants on the City’s comprehensive plan, then get feedback on topics like transportation and growth.
