Stage 1 Restrictions to be Lifted Friday

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Thanks in large part to cooler temperatures, Stage 1 fire restrictions are being lifted in Southwest Idaho, effective 12:01 Friday morning.

In a joint statement, the Boise National Forest, the Bureau of Land Management and the Idaho Department of Lands announced restrictions will be lifted in the Treasure Valley, the West Central Mountains, the Snake and Weiser River region, and the Owyhee Mountains.

That includes BLM land around Mann Creek Reservoir in Washington County, Lake Cascade in Valley County, and the Arrowrock and Anderson Ranch Reservoirs in Boise and Elmore Counties.

Keep in mind, though, that fire conditions still exist, so be sure to never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it’s completely out and cool before leaving your campsite.

The protective order banning all fireworks, tracer ammo and exploding targets is in place until October 20th.
