It’s Not Too Late to Score Cheap(er) Tickets for Labor Day Weekend

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Labor Day weekend is coming up in a few days…got any plans? If you’re up to planning a last-minute getaway to Vegas, LA or other destinations, this is a great time to do it, because flights are cheap…er.

Travel expert Zach Burau says the airlines have dropped prices to popular destinations across the country, which is kind of unusual…

“They’ve been lowering fares, and really trying to get people traveling, get people n travel mood right before they hike up their fares in the early Fall,” said Burau.  “So it’s somewhat unusual to have low fares around this time, but people should definitely start taking advantage of them, because they won’t be around for long.”

As we told you recently, Thanksgiving is the busiest travel time of the year, and prices will go up accordingly.

But Burau says if fuel costs go higher, that’ll also drive ticket prices up, so get your cheaper tickets now, while you can.
