Boise (670 KBOI News) – Why do you want to go to the Western Idaho Fair…the livestock? The rides? The food? The chance to win a drone?
Angela Hemingway with the STEM Action Center says they’re teaming up with CBS-2 TV for the 3rd Annual STEM Day at the Fair…STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
She says there will be all sorts of cool things to see and do at the STEM Action Center tent.
“3-D printing, we have a huge virtual reality tent, the STEM Bus is going to be there,” said Hemingway. “We really want to give a variety of STEM and STEM awareness, so that kids and parents can get engaged, at whatever age they are, and whatever level of STEM they’re comfortable with.”
There will be a scavenger hunt, too…and one of the prizes will be a drone.
The STEM Action tent is open from noon til 8:00 Friday, and the scavenger hunt prizes will be awarded live that night, on the CBS-2 10:00 newscast.
