Boise Police, US Marshals Arrest Aggravated Assault Suspect

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Here’s an update on a story we had for you a few days ago.

Boise Police say they found and arrested the suspect in an aggravated assault in the parking lot of a shopping center at the corner of Overland and Orchard.

According to a BPD press release, 46-year old James Bartley was found at his home on South Hilton Street. Officers and US Deputy Marshals made contact with Bartley, but he refused to surrender. The BPD Special Operations Unit was called out, but Bartley surrendered before they could deploy. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of Aggravated Assault.

He’s the man suspected of pulling a gun on another man Sunday night. The victim said he saw Bartley acting strangely, and went over to investigate.
