Former Site of Proposed Stadium Sold to Two Property Companies

Boise (670 KBOI News) – There’s a reason Atlanta Georgia-based Greenstone Properties has decided not to build a stadium at the corner of Americana and Shoreline Drive in downtown Boise…that property has been sold already.

Don Day, publisher of BoiseDev.com, says deeds recorded Thursday morning with Ada County, show the parcel has been sold to two companies.

“St. Luke’s Health Systems has agreed to sell the land that had initially earmarked for a stadium, downtown at Americana and Shoreline, to two other parties” said Day.  “One is AgriBeef, which owns a building in the area, and the other is an investment group.  What that means is no stadium at the corner of Americana and Shoreline.  It’s just not going to happen there.”

Greenstone is said to be looking at a new location, in Downtown Boise’s West End, as a possible location for the proposed stadium.

It’s an open field bordered by 27th to the East, Main Street to the North, Whitewater Park Boulevard to the West and Fairview to the South.
