Meridian Police Would Like Your Help Finding Missing Man

Meridian (670 KBOI News) – Meridian Police are asking you to give them a call if you know anything about the whereabouts of a man who’s been missing for a week now.

Deputy Police Chief Tracy Besterrechea says Thomas Wright was last seen Friday the 8th, and his family reported him missing this past Monday. But Wednesday, Boise County Deputies made a discovery.

“His 1996 black Honda Civic hatchback was discovered in Boise County, off a dirt road near Moore’s Creek Summit,” said Basterrechea.  “The vehicle was back in the brush, almost like he had attempted to hide it, we were contacted by the Boise County Sheriff’s Office, they’re conducting an extensive search of the area.”

Basterrechea says when his family last saw Wright, he was wearing flip-flops, which are totally inappropriate for traversing the rough terrain in the area.

Investigators think before he left his Meridian home, he took his pistol…and Basterrechea says they found an empty holster in Wright’s abandoned car.

If you know anything, he’d like you to call the Meridian PD at (208) 888-6678.
