Boise School District to Offer Free Meals in Parks

Boise (670 KBOI News) – School is almost out in the Boise School District…the last day of class is Friday.

So the Boise School District is getting ready to kick off its Summer Meals Program, starting Monday the 4th of June.

Ryan Hill with Boise Schools says it’s a necessity for many families these days.

“Thanks to a program that’s offered through the United States Department of Agriculture, we are able to offer free meals to all students within the Boise School District,” said Hill.  “We have seen a rise in children from families that qualify for free or reduced cost lunch.”

There’s a schedule for which schools will be serving which meals on which days…Hill says they do rotate the schedule, to make it as convenient as possible for as many families as possible.
