Greenbelt Courtesy

Boise (670 KBOI News) – As the weather warms and gets sunnier, people are heading back out to the Boise Greenbelt for some walking, skating or cycling.

But Boise Parks and Recreation Director Doug Holloway has a favor to ask of you…before you head out to the Greenbelt, please review the rules of common courtesy, to keep it a happy place.

“It’s just common sense and common courtesy, so always be in control if you’re riding a bike, or riding an e-bike, ” said Holloway.  “Always yield to pedestrians.  At the end of the day, if we’re just being nice on the Greenbelt, there really would be little, if any, conflicts at all.”

He says if you’re walking, cycling or skating with a group, please stick to only one side of the Greenbelt, so folks going the other direction can get by.

He says in some places, that may mean you need to ride single file.
