Forbes: Boise is the Fastest-Growing City in America

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Idaho is the fastest-growing state in the nation…that’s something we know for a fact.

But Forbes magazine is confirming something may people have suspected for a while now; Boise is the fastest-growing city in America.

Boise’s population grew by 3.1% in 2017, which was higher than any other metropolitan area, and employment increased by 3.6%, the second highest. Home prices were up 11.5%…which is good if you’re selling a home, not so good if you’re looking to buy, or if you’re renting.

Forbes says Boise is benefiting to what it calls the “third wave of tech dislocation”. That means tech jobs are moving here from places like Seattle and Denver.

Seattle is the second fastest-growing city, followed by Dallas, Orlando, Ft. Worth, Vegas, Nashville, Austin, Ft. Myers Florida, and Tacoma.
