Idaho CDL Information Hacked

Boise (670 KBOI News) – Do you have an Idaho Commercial Drivers’ License? You might want to read and heed, then.

The personal information of about 140 CDL holders was compromised when two ITD email accounts were hacked in December.

Information that may have been exposed include drivers’ license numbers, Social Security or Taxpayer ID numbers, as well as credit card and bank account numbers.

State Information Security Director Jeff Weak said they’re investigating how the breach happened, and taking steps to strengthen the state’s cybersecurity defenses.

ITD is notifying those companies and individuals whose information may have been hacked.
