Melba Lockdown Over, Deputies Find Suspect

Melba (670 KBOI) – Canyon County Deputies get their man, find someone else they were looking for, and the situation at Melba Schools is normal.

The schools were locked down all day Wednesday, as deputies looked for a suspicious man who was reported by students as they got off busses Wednesday morning.

The Idaho Press Tribune is reporting the man was Justin Eddie, who was wanted on outstanding warrants…he was found in a portable restroom in town, and arrested about 4:00.

In the course of the search for Eddie, deputies also contacted Payge Gilmore, who was also wanted on outstanding warrants. She was also arrested and booked into the Canyon County Jail.

Classes continued as normal at the schools…the lockdown was lifted about 3:45.
