Treasure Valley Law enforcement Needs Your Help Finding Cemetery Theft Suspect

Boise (670 KBOI) – Law enforcement in Ada and Canyon Counties are asking for your help finding a suspect in a series of cemetery robberies.

Sergeant John Terry with the Boise Police says thanks to information from an area recycler, they think Aspen Curtis has been stealing parts of memorials and headstones in three cemeteries in the two counties.

“Over 200 vases have been stolen from Canyon County and Ada County, they’re bronze and brass, as well as bronze and brass nameplates off the headstones of the cemeteries,” said Terry.

The recycler called the Boise Police to report what was going on…that’s how they were able to narrow down the suspect list to Curtis.

He’s described as white, 22 years old, 6-feet 200-pounds with brown hair and green eyes. He may be driving a 2000 G-M-C Jimmy or a 91-Lexus 400, both which have Owyhee County plates. he’s believed to be staying with friends at different locations in the Treasure Valley.

If you have information, terry says please call your local law enforcement agency, or Crimestoppers at 343-COPS.
