An elderly woman was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Tuesday evening after she was hit by a car.
Witnesses told Boise police that the woman was in the crosswalk at the intersection of Ustick Road and Constantine Street at about 5:30 p.m. when a car driven by an adult female struck her.
The woman, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital.
The Idaho Statesman reports, traffic in the area was affected for more than two hours. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating.
Police say they will update information as needed.
