Nampa (670 KBOI) – Orange cones will be going up on I-84 in Nampa in the Fall of 2018, and the Idaho Transportation Department wants to know what you think about it.
The ITD’s Jake Melder says the project would widen the freeway to three lanes from the Franklin interchange to the Karcher interchange, east and westbound.
He says most of the money has already been allocated.
“In addition to the $150 million in GARVEE bonds, we have $112 million from state funding,” said Melder. “We’re also looking to get some Infra Grants from the federal government.”
They held a public meeting to get input Wednesday night…if you didn’t make it, no problem.
Melder says if you have questions, click here to go to the I-84 Karcher to Franklin project page. You can also email comments to [email protected].
