Arrest Made After Facebook Video Shows Man Hitting Baby in the Face

A Boise man has been charged with felony injury to a child after a Facebook video showed him hitting his 14-month-old son.

Issac Washington, was arrested and is being held on a $250,000 bond.

The Idaho Statesman reports, a third party informed deputies of the Facebook video, in which Washington hits the toddler in the face and head while they watch television.

Authorities then went to Washington’s residence near Victory Road and Five Mile Road, where Washington said he had just been playing with the boy.

The child did not appear to be injured but did have red marks on his cheek and forehead.

The boy was taken into custody by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare after authorities declared him to be in imminent danger. Washington was arrested Monday after further investigation and is also charged with a parole violation.
