Haven Hackworth
The Marsing man who left a baby in his vehicle at a Caldwell car dealership could face up to 10 years in prison for the child’s death.
Haven Hackworth, pleaded guilty last week to involuntary manslaughter.
On May 20, Hackworth left a 5-month-old in a vehicle parked outside a car dealership on Cleveland Boulevard.
The Idaho Press Tribune reports, it is unclear how long the child was left unattended in the vehicle, strapped into a car seat with the windows rolled up. When police arrived after a 911 call, the girl was unresponsive.
Hackworth is not the child’s father, but he was taking care of the child that afternoon as he was in a relationship the child’s mother at the time of the child’s death.
Sentencing is set for March 27th in Canyon County.
