Capitol Christmas Tree Lighting Set For Tonight

 

The annual Capitol Christmas tree light ceremony is tonight (Monday). Festivities are set to begin at 5 p.m.

You’ll hear holiday music performed by the 25th Army Band, Opera Idaho and children from Cecil D. Andrus Elementary School.

The lighting of the Christmas tree will begin at 5:30 p.m.

There will be free hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies.

After the tree lighting, guests will be invited into the Statehouse where children will receive free books.

KBOI-2-TV reports, Idaho’s 2017 State Christmas ornaments will be for sale in the Capitol Gift Shop.
