After tens of thousands of people visited the Meridian Idaho Temple during its three-week open house, the dedication of the temple is now set for Sunday, November 19th.
The temple will be formally dedicated in three sessions at 9:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
A press release explains, whenever The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints constructs a new temple, a dedication ceremony is held.
A dedication ceremony includes a special prayer, music and talks from Church leaders.
Prior to the first dedicatory session, a cornerstone ceremony will be held where the final block of the temple is cemented in place.
The Meridian Idaho Temple is located on North Linder Road, a few blocks north of the intersection of North Linder Road and Chinden Blvd.
