Once again – today is election day for many of us…
School bond and levy elections will be held in 40 out of 44 Idaho counties today.
The elections will take place at polling locations across the state with polls open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Kuna Joint School District Bond needs over 66% voting yes for the approval of financing construction of a new elementary school; renovations to Kuna and Fremont Middle Schools; additions to Swan Falls High School; and construction of an additional bus facility.
According to KTVB.com the estimated average annual cost to the taxpayer: $128 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, per year, based on current conditions.
The district’s existing bond levy is expected to decrease by $128 per $100,000, so if approved the average annual cost to the taxpayer is not expected to increase.
