The Meridian Police Department arrested a 16-year-old boy for robbing a Meridian area vape shop.

The armed robbery happened last week at a vape store on the corner of Fairview and Meridian Rd.

Police say the teenager stole about $2,000 worth of merchandise while threatening the clerk with a weapon.

After numerous tips from the community, police identified the teen, obtained a warrant for the suspect, and arrested him over the weekend.

The teen was booked into the Ada County Juvenile Detention Center on one count of Robbery.
