Lainey Wilson Is Ready For the Hard Work to Begin

Lainey Wilson is knocking on the door to the top of the country chart with “Things A Man Oughta Know” – for her, getting there isn’t the end of the journey, but the beginning…and it’s a journey that she’s been waiting for, for a long time…

Lainey says, “I’ll tell ya, I’m so grateful for every step and I mean I just feel like there’s just been so many incredible moments leading me to this moment right here but I’m excited to see what’s next I’m grateful I’m just so thankful and appreciative but this is just the beginning. You know I’ve been preparing for the race…I’ve entered the race…and now I’m about to run it! The hard work is really just beginning.”

Lainey also shares some advice that Grand Ole Opry member Jeannie Seely recently shared with her, “Jeannie poked her head into my Grand Ole Opry dressing room a while ago and told me something I’ll never forget. She said, ‘Just remember Lainey, when you go out there on that stage, it has nothing to do with you. It’s about them.’ I’ll make it about y’all for as long as y’all let me.”

Lainey is putting that advice to use as she takes the stage opening up the Jason Aldean Back In the Saddle tour 2021.

Lainey, and her performance of “Things A Man Oughta Know” was recently featured in the CMA Summer Jam TV concert special – which you still stream on Hulu…or watch right here…
