Valley County Commission votes against Dr. Ryan Cole’s appointment to CDH Board of Health

Dr. Ryan Cole has not yet been ratified to the Central District Health Board of Health, and there are still questions on whether or not that will happen.

A majority of the three-member Valley County Commission voted against Cole’s appointment on Monday because of concerns raised by local doctors who are opposed.

The Idaho Statesman reports, the Ada County Commission voted 2-1 a week ago to appoint Cole. His appointment now must be ratified by commissioners in Boise, Elmore and Valley counties, which make up the rest of the Central Health District.

Boise County commissioners planned to meet today (Tuesday), to discuss a vote on Cole’s ratification.

Elmore County commissioners will interview Dr. Cole on Friday, Sept. 3rd before voting.
