COVID-19 Cases Drop Below 100 per day in Idaho

 

In the last week, Idaho’s seven-day moving average for new daily COVID-19 cases fell below 100 per day for the first time in a year.

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare data shows on June 17, the seven-day moving average fell to 98 cases per day. Since then, it has remained under 100 cases per day, falling to an average of 72 new cases on Monday.

The drop in average caseload comes as Idaho reports a small decline in the test positivity rate.

The state continues to lag on COVID-19 vaccination rates. By Monday, about 43% of the population 12 and older, compared with nearly 53% of the same age group nationwide.
